In 1983 USA
started issuing stamps for express letters, and in 1989 for
priority. These are big size stamps and they have motives of great
American nature, history and achievements.
They are not easy to find on covers, especially not
on covers suiting a stamp collector. The high face values make them
suitable for big size shipments, not for smaller, collectable
covers. |

Anyway, I
love these big-size American “brag-stamps”; they show the
greatness of the nation, manmade achievements and natural wonders. I
would like to share this feeling with others, so I show you the
stamps plus additional photos and text about the stamp motives, and,
some small-size covers.
Most photos are from Wikipedia, so is a lot of the
text. Most stamps and some photos are my own. I wish you a pleasant
