Antarctica - Norwegian Whaler's mail

The mail between the Whalers on the catching fields and home was mostly transported on the Whaling Companies own wessels. When family back home sent mail, the address often is via
1
1 the Whaling Company's main office in a Norwegian town (usually Sandefjord)
2 a Company ship in any port in the world.

The centre of the whaling industry in antarctic waters was South Georgia, the postal connection between South Georgia and Europe was not good, hence shipping on board the whaling wessels was much more efficient. This is why mail to and from whalers with arrival cancellations is scarce.
